SYSTEM DVR - DVS
The DVR-DVS System Series range consists of professional devices for video recording
and remote and local video surveillance. Based on IP technology (hence the name DVS
Digital Video Server), System DVR-DVS use native data transmission networks.
With a H.264 compression algorithm and top-notch professional functions,
such as optimised Frame Rate (25 frame per second for each video channel) and Main
Stream/Sub Stream functions for optimal use of the available network transmission band,
the DVR-DVS System Series range has new functions making it even more versatile.
System functions
Simplified OSD menu
The main DVR-DVS Series System control menu is simplified for easily use also by less expert
operators. The basic functions in each menu item are the same as before. Advanced functions
have been grouped in a submenu which can be opened by clicking on the “ADVANCED” button.
New Internet Explorer Browser interface
The Browser interface (fully redesigned) is now capable of managing all DVR functions
(including setup and video stream management). Useful for users who either do to want
or cannot access the NVM Software Client (included in the CD accompanying the product),
the new interface now allows recording to the local PC from which operations are controlled
(PC recordings are independent from DVR recordings) and playback of recordings stored
on either the remote DVR or the local PC.
Mouse
A mouse is included. Connected to the DVR (via USB port), it may be used to manage
video stream and program the digital video recorder (essentially the mouse replicates
all the functions which can be activated from the DVR front panel). The mouse can also
be used to control Easy Dome II cameras (pan and tilt, zoom and preset positions).
Easy installation and flexibility are the two main advantages of mouse use.
Privacy
Scheduled recording deletion. In accordance with specific requirements dictated by privacy
codes, the DVR menu now features a new configuration parameter for programming
a number of days of life of the recording after which the DVR will start deleting the data
by writing over them.
Privacy mask: 4 privacy area can be called up and set for each video channel.
E-mail alarm notification
This function allows to enter one or two e-mail addressed in the DVR menu.
An alarm message (contact or motion) will be sent in case of alarm (if an Internet connection
is present). The text will contain information on the physical name assigned ot the DVR,
the camera to which the alarm is associated, the alarm type and the date and time of the event.
Automatic DVR-DVS PLAYER saving on CD/DVD or USB key
This function allows to save the Player file directed to DVD (or key) during backup
and decode (i.e. display) the recording on a PC without necessarily requiring the presence
of a pre-installed SW Client.
Saving/loading DVD parameters to/from USB memory key
This function is used to save/load the entire configuration (installation parameters)
of the DVR to/from a USB memory key. In an installation consisting of several DVRs in a single
system project (e.g. chain of shops or medium to large systems), you can program one DVR,
backup parameters to a USB memory key and load the settings on the other DVRs.
